Eyes closed,

Her face was without expression,

Without movement…

A tear from the border of her eye

Rolled down her cheek slowly.

A tear of pain,

A tear of sadness

Rolled into the bottomless pit.

A tear lost and many more to come.

Her lips began to mumble

Silently the lyrics of a song…

The lyrics carried emotions so strong,

A second and third tear

Rolled down her cheek.

One died in her moving lips,

The other slipped and rolled through her neck.

Three tears lost and many more to come.

The face had now a sorrowful expression

And her lips quivered as she sang silently.

The pain inside overwhelms

All emotions, all sentiment.

Melancholy and sadness fill

Her body, her mind, and her soul.

All the tears lost,

Represent her life,

Represent the emotions that she hides from the world,

The emotions she is not able to say in words.
